This design for the state flag of Georgia was adopted in 1956 as a protest against the 1954 US supreme court decision in Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka which prohibited racial segregation in schools. More information can be found on the Georgia Senate's official webpage.
Flag patches are fully embroidered and measure 3 1/8'" x 3 1/2". Each patch is trimmed in gold and can be ironed or sewn on.
